Amy Raasch
Media Installation Artist
Venice, CA
Amy Raasch is a Media Installation Artist based in Los Angeles. Her independent release, “Love or Inertia,” inspired Music Connection to name her one of the Top Unsigned Artists in Los Angeles. She followed with 52 Songs in 52 Weeks, an episodic collection of live video performances of works in progress. Raasch has acted in several productions for theater and feature film, including Sundance feature “the four corners of nowhere” by writer/director Stephen Chbosky ("The Perks Of Being A Wallflower"), and recently contributed music to Sony Classics release, "The Diary of a Teenage Girl." Her forthcoming media installation, GIRLS GET COLD, is a mash-up of quirky electronic pop, theatrical storytelling and film that examines animal behavior in humans and vice-versa. CAT BIRD COYOTE, an animated short film from that project, has garnered laurels from seven film festivals, including Best Animation honors at the Los Angeles International Film Festival.
